As an account director, you are to prepare long-term, short-term goals and account objectives. Build trust and long-term relationships with each client. Manage all records of sales, revenue, important data and motivate team members to exceed goals.
Estimate and establish cost, budgets, campaigns, and potential return on investment. Supervise account management and different strategies. Represent your company to portfolio clients, evaluate employee performance and review their goals. Negotiate contracts on behalf of the company and encourage account manager to bring in potential new clients.
As an account director, you need to develop and implement sales quotas. Present reports on account progress, quotas, and goals to senior leadership and all stakeholders.
As an account director, you need bachelor’s degree in business, BA, or related field and master’s degree are a plus. Need five years or more of experience as an account manager, director, or related title in the industry.
Stay Up to date on newest industry trends and able to articulate confidently and clearly. Require excellent analytical and time-management skills. Be proficient with computer, such as Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
Be organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules with good verbal and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of client and great customer service skills.
Encourage team staff members and able to mentor them. Also, able to analyze any problems and strategize for best solutions. Have good Knowledge of sales process from start to a close while able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Good negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients and management.
